Acid rain

Acid rain

Acid rain is rain that has unusually high amount of acidic properties to it. It is caused by the emissions or output of factories, trucks, and other objects that release a compound of sulfur, ammonium, carbon, and nitrogen. A reaction takes place with the release of these chemicals that cause what would be normal rain to have acidic properties. The effects that acid rain has on the environment is quite clear. It can break down metals (very slowly) which is evident where it can cause a car to begin rusting. In conclusion, it is apparent that if the society does not care more for the environment acid rain will grow more severe and possible have greater negative effects on our surroundings.
